Pettis County authorities are urging drivers to avoid a portion of a certain roadway.

The Pettis County Sheriff’s Department says if possible, drivers should avoid the area of Houston Road between Chamberlain and McGruder.

They say the bridge in that area has a hole/wash-away area in it due to the recent rain. The hole is barricaded, but drivers are advised to find an alternate route.
