A 26-year-old Norborne man was helicoptered from the scene of a rollover accident in Carroll County on Wednesday, July 28.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as an eastbound MODOT roller truck, driven by Chilton Elliott, was loading onto a trailer, overturned and struck a ditch.

Elliott was flown by air ambulance to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for treatment of serious injuries.

The crash happened at 12:25 p.m. on Route DD, west of Route JJ.
