Nearly 40 percent of eligible Pettis County residents have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Unofficial minutes from this week’s Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force meeting say according to the state website, 16,745 Pettis County residents have received one dose and 14,557 are considered fully vaccinated- which is approximately 34.4 percent of the population. 

However, health officials note, Pettis County is falling behind the state rate of 52.7 percent with at least one dose and 46.3 percent fully vaccinated. The state is reporting 63.9 percent of the population over 18 has had at least one dose of vaccine and 56.4 percent are fully vaccinated.  

For Pettis County 50.1 percent of the population 18+ has at least one dose and 43.9 percent are fully vaccinated.   

According to the new DHSS page, 21.7 percent (758) of 12-17 year olds have started the vaccination series and 16.2 percent (564) are fully vaccinated.   

The Pettis County Health Center has regular walk in clinics from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays; from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Thursdays; and from noon to 3 p.m. on Fridays. First doses are available, as well as second doses for those unable to make their second-dose appointment.
