Members of the Sedalia Police Department Crime Resolution Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a vehicle registration violation, at approximately 12:42 p.m. on Monday, September 20.

According to the Sedalia Police Department, during the course of the stop, two subjects were allegedly found to be in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia – indicative of drug sales.

The two suspects were arrested during the investigation and placed on 24-hour holds at the Pettis County Jail.

State charges of Trafficking in Drugs in the First Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia are being requested for each suspect.

Per KMMO policy, names of the suspects will not be released until formal charges are filed.
