Another COVID-19-related death has been reported in Lafayette County.

According to the Lafayette County Health Department, this death raises the county’s total to 71 since the beginning of the pandemic.

Fifteen new positive PCR tests were reported on Monday, September 20, increasing the county’s total to 3,440 positive cases to date.

There currently are 12 persons hospitalized due to the virus in the county.

The county’s positivity rate was 11.27 percent as of September 16, according to the CDC COVID Data Tracker
