After evaluating the condition of Springfork Lake on Monday, October 4, city officials determined the Sedalia lake will remain closed to the public through Tuesday, October 12.
According to a press release, the city plans to evaluate the lake’s condition weekly – in relation to the continued presence of the algae bloom, to determine a re-opening date for public recreational use.
The City of Sedalia says they believe the closing of the lake is in the best interest of public health.
