The Marshall High School Debate Squad competed its first in-person Speech and Debate Tournament in Blue Springs, for the first time in one year and seven months.

According to a news release, Andi Gooden finished fourth in Storytelling, with Bailey Riley coming in at sixth place. Michele Lin was 10th in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate.

The next tournament for the squad will be a virtual tournament at Nixa and Francis Howell. An in-person competition will follow in November at North Kansas City High School.
