Dennis Michael “Denny Mike” Oetting, 76, of Concordia, MO, died peacefully in his home on Friday, October 8.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 16, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia, with Pastor Michael Pottschmidt and Pastor Andrew Lehenbauer officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the church. Inurnment will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Born April 28, 1945, in Lexington, MO, he was the son of the late Walter “Wally” Oetting and Thelma Bird Oetting. He lived his entire life in Concordia and was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia. On August 20, 1966, he was married to Paulette Wienberg who survives of the home. In 2005, after 36 years with Kansas City Power & Light Co., he retired as a local representative electrical lineman.

Survivors include his wife, Paulette; two sons, Jason Oetting of Lee’s Summit, MO and Nathan (Kelly) Oetting of Portland, OR; four grandchildren, Shane Oetting and Emma Oetting of Lee’s Summit and Otto Oetting and Arlo Oetting of Portland; one sister, Gail (Dennis) Tieman of Concordia; brother-in-law, Ray Stringer of Concordia; and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Stringer.
