Marty Morgan, age 67, of Marshall, MO, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with Rev. Randy Shannon officiating. Burial will follow at the Missouri State Veterans’ Cemetery in Higginsville. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, October 18, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Please be respectful of the family’s request that masks be worn at both visitation and funeral services.

Born April 3, 1954, in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of the late Earl Dean Cloughly and Joy Fern McCollum Cloughly. On May 6, 1972, she married Michael G. “Mike” Morgan who survives of the home. Marty lived in Marshall most of her life and was a member of Marshall Family Worship Center. Marty was well known in the area for her love of children, not just her own, but all. She owned and operated a daycare in her home and touched countless lives with her love and care. Marty and Mike were blessed to have three wonderful children and even more blessed with their grandchildren.

In addition to Mike, she is survived by their three children: Michelle Kent (Robert) of Kansas City, Michael J. Morgan (Keziah) of Kansas City and Megan Sheldon (Ryan) of Rockford, MI; nine grandchildren who Marty would have listed first: Reilly, Karlee, Sydney, Lucy, Lily, Abram, Quynn, Jude and Eleanor; six siblings: Ron Cloughly (Rita) of Marshall, Carol Fisher (Keith) of Waverly, Larry Wayne Cloughly of the state of CA, Janet Loggins of Marshall, Nancy Keehart (Mike) of Marshall and David Cloughly (Angie) of Glasgow; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

In addition to her parents, Marty was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Hicklin.
