The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a merger request filed by Elm Hills Utility Operating Company, Inc. and Raccoon Creek Utility Operating Company, Inc.Under the merger, Confluence Rivers would be the surviving entity.

According to a press release, the application stated that customers will see no change in the person or entities providing day-to-day services as a result of the merger.  Current water and sewer rates will stay the same until such time as they are modified according to law.

The Commission approved the merger finding it is not detrimental to the public interest.

Elm Hills serves approximately 137 water customers and 680 sewer customers; counties in the KMMO listening area include Pettis and Johnson counties. Raccoon Creek serves approximately 529 sewer customers in Johnson and Pettis counties.
