A Carrollton man who allegedly resisted arrest on October 7 has been charged with a felony.

According to a probable-cause statement, authorities tried to serve an active warrant to Joshua Fizer. However, authorities say Fizer fled in a vehicle despite them activating their sirens. After a short pursuit, authorities say Fizer exited the vehicle, ran, attempted to go down the hill toward a lake and fell through brush. He continued to run though authorities told him to stop.

Once he was detained, authorities say Fizer continue to resist and had to be pepper sprayed.

According to court documents, Fizer is charged with a felony for resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony. The court originally ordered no bond. However, on October 14, bond was amended to $5,000 cash only.

Fizer is scheduled for a hearing at 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, at Carroll County Circuit Court.
