Open Door Service Center helps meet the basic needs of Pettis County citizens. Services include a food pantry/service center, thrift shop and Soup Kitchen.

At this time, the center is asking for residents to make donations of several food items so it can provide Thanksgiving Bags for residents in need over the upcoming holiday.

The list of items needed include: turkey; stuffing; corn; green beans; mashed potatoes; gravy; cranberry sauce; yams; pies; and pie filling.

The center asks residents to have their donations in by November 17.

Donations can be dropped off at 111 West 6th Street in Sedalia.
