Ida Mae Woolery, age 87, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Fair View Nursing Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, at the St. Patrick Chapel of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Rehmer, Gene Arnett, Dale Bahner, Matt Bahner, Brenda Nevels and Theresa Bahner. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:40 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with Prayers of the Rosary begining at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to St. John’s Cemetery, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Sedalia.

She was born January 22, 1934 in Sedalia, the daughter of the late Charlie Joseph and Rose Adeline (Weller) Bahner. On June 6, 1970 at St. Patrick Church in Sedalia, she married John William Woolery, who preceded her in death on December 23, 2010.

After attending Central Business College, Ida Mae worked for the Sedalia Credit Union. She later worked as a secretary for the City of Sedalia for several years and for the U.S. Government as a shipping secretary at Whiteman Air Force Base until she retired.

Ida Mae and John enjoyed square dancing. Together, they served as president and vice president, and district representatives of State Fair Squares; president, vice president and secretary of West Central Square; Round Dancers of West Central District; and festival chairmen and committee members for the State Square Dance Festival.

Ida Mae is survived by her sister Eileen Kitzmiller of Dunedin, FL; and two brothers, Charles Bahner of Smithton and David Bahner of Lee’s Summit; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Laura Bahner Jones, Lillian Bahner Rehmer, and Mary Bahner Arnett; and one brother, Robert Bahner.
