During the morning hours on Saturday, January 1, officials announced the City of Blackburn did not have electricity.

The Blackburn Fire Department ran its generator, offered rides, and invited the community to its warming shelter until power was restored.

A fire department spokesperson says power was restored at approximately 3 p.m.
