Mary E. Claborn, 69, of Concordia, died Sunday, January 9, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.

The  family will hold a memorial service 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 17, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs, with Pastor Alan Mueller officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials are suggested Immanuel Lutheran Church or Bikers for Babies in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Born July 19, 1952, in Kansas City, KS, she was the daughter of the late Delores VanBibber Young. On August 31, 1985, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, she married Robert Charles Claborn Jr. who survives of the home.  She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Altar Guild and a Sunday school teacher. She was an organizer for Run for the Wall in Concordia. She loved Mickey Mouse and was a collector. She was a diehard Washington Redskins fan “HTTR” and loved hanging out with her “Round Table Ladies.”

In addition to her husband, Robert, Mary is survived by two sons, Shawn Young of Warsaw, MO and Quintin Claborn of Emma, MO; one sister, Lois Young of Grain Valley, MO; one niece, Crystal Nading; one nephew, Travis Young; one great-niece, Hailey Nading; and one great-nephew, Hunter Nading.

In addition to her mother, Mary was preceded in death by one son, Alex Claborn; and one sister, Debbie Walgren.
