During the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Tuesday, January 18, City Administrator JD Kehrman recognized new fire chief Sheldon Kerksiek.
Kehrman said the fire department has donated some of its older gear to a department in another country.
Kerksiek explained how it all came about.
