Each year, the State of Missouri is required to develop an action plan that addresses how each HUD-funded program that is operated by the State of Missouri will operate over the coming year.
A press release says, the Missouri Department of Economic Development is the lead agency responsible for developing this action plan. This plan requires public input to ensure programs continue to meet community needs.
An action plan primarily addresses the following topics for each program:
· The amount of resources available in each program for the year;
· The goals and objectives of each program;
· The types of projects and activities that may be funded;
· The types of applicants that may receive funding;
· The manner of being awarded funding; and
· Other program-specific requirements.
The State is requesting feedback regarding each of its five HUD-funded programs subject to the FY2022 Annual Action Plan:
1. Annual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG);
2. HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME);
3. Housing of Persons with AIDS (HOPWA);
4. Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG); and
5. Housing Trust Fund (HTF).
The survey will ask general information about your interest in the programs, specific questions for the annual CDBG program, as well as a combined housing survey for the four other programs. Each section will allow you to skip providing input for that program, if desired. Responses will be accepted until at 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
