During the week of April 18-24, there were 13 new positive cases of COVID-19 reported in Pettis County. Ten of the cases were persons over the age of 65.

According to Pettis County Health Center officials, as of Monday, April 25, there have been 12,041 positive cases reported in Pettis County as compared to 12,027 on April 18 and 12,010 on April 11.

According to minutes from the Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force meeting this week, the vaccine breakthrough rate for the week of April 11-17 was eight of 17 (47 percent), of which four also had received a booster shot. For the week of April 18-24, the count was seven of 14 (50 percent), of which five were boosted.

There are two persons hospitalized at Bothwell Regional Health Center as compared to zero last week. No additional deaths were reported last week. There have been 160 COVID-19-related deaths in the county since the beginning of the pandemic.
