State Fair Community College Radiology Technology students won first place in a bowl competition with radiology students from programs across the state at the Missouri Society of Radiologic Technologists (MoSRT) Annual Conference in Columbia on April 7.

A news release says students on SFCC’s bowl team were Nathan Nall of Lake Ozark (second year), Grace Sloan of Miami, Missouri (second year), Braden Adams of Boonville (first year), and alternate Nicole Hockett of Warsaw (second year).

April Young, SFCC’s Radiologic Technology program director and MoSRT president, presented the award to her own students at the conference. SFCC Radiologic Technology Instructor Danielle Beumer coached the team.

MoSRT was formed to advance the professions of radiation and imaging disciplines and specialties Its goal is to assist in establishing and maintaining high standards of education and training and to evaluate the quality of patient care.
