The Slater City Council discussed a bill that authorizes Slater Mayor Stephen Allegri to sign documents for ARPA water improvement grants.
City Administrator Gene Griffith says the grants are for fire hydrant replacements.
The council passed the bill.
The council also reported on an upcoming event in the Slater swimming pool.
The Slater swimming pool is also offering swimming lessons from July 11-22. People can sign up at the pool.
In other news, Mayor Allegri reported that residents’ trash pickup will be on Friday because of the Independence Day holiday.
