An Odessa man charged with a couple of felonies following a reported incident last year has a motion hearing scheduled scheduled.

According to an Odessa Police report, officers received a report from family members of two different child victims of alleged sexual abuse and sodomy during the evening and overnight hours of September 5 and morning hours of September 6. Allegedly, the two victims were provided alcoholic drinks, forced to watch pornography and subjected to sexual acts of sodomy by the suspect.

Robert Lloyd Triplet allegedly confessed during his interview by authorities.

According to court documents, Triplet is charged with two counts of a sex-related felony and a misdemeanor for supplying liquor to a minor. Triplet is being held without bond. A motion for bond reduction was denied by the court on October 21.

Triplet’s original attorney withdrew from the case, and Chad Gardner entered the case as his lawyer.

Triplet, who pleaded not guilty on December 20, has a motion hearing scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, August 1, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
