The Missouri Department of Transportation is scheduled to close a lane of Interstate 70 at several locations in Lafayette and Saline County on Monday, September 12.

MoDOT will close lanes of westbound I-70 at the following locations:

· The far-left lane of westbound I-70 mile marker 80.1, which is 1.9 miles east of Route 65 from 1 to 4 p.m.
· The far-left lane of westbound I-70 mile marker 53.1, which is .4 miles east of Route T from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
· The right lane of westbound I-70 mile marker 43.8, which is 1.4 miles west of Route H from 7 to 11 a.m.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
