The Sedalia City Council discussed a grant application from the Office of Homeland Security for cybersecurity during its meeting on Tuesday, September 6.

City Administrator Kelvin Shaw stated the need to improve cybersecurity by identifying vulnerabilities and securing their networks from those that would do harm.

The grant would be for $15,000.

The council approved the motion to pursue the grant.
