Ruby Evelyn Mark, 96, of Sedalia, died Friday, December 23, 2022 at Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Dennis Harper officiating. Inurnment will be at 2 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.

Born February 15, 1926 in Smithton, she was the daughter of the late William McKinley and Grace Esther Schluesing Ratje. On May 30, 1957 in Eldorado Springs, MO, she married Freeman Frederick Mark, who preceded her in death on December 30, 2011.

She is survived by a son, Alan Dale Mark, of Independence, MO; two daughters, Pamela Baumgardner and Tina Mark, both of Springfield, MO; a brother, Herbert Nelson Ratje, of Elkmont, AL; three grandchildren, Christopher and William Mark, and Ashley Applebury; and three great-grandchildren, Gabriel Mark, and Aurora and Gavin Applebury. She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Isaac Mark.

Mrs. Mark was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church since 1953. She was a member of United Methodist Women for over 50 years, serving as President, Circle Chairman and Local Church Activities Chairman. She was a Red Cross Volunteer at Bothwell Regional Health Center for 19 years. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers.
