Richard Henry Davis, 92, of Sweet Springs, MO, went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2023, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at First Assembly of God in Sweet Springs with Pastor Tommy Mapes officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Dunksburg.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.  Memorials are suggested to First Assembly of God in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born May 27, 1930, in Camdenton, MO, he was the son of the late Willard James Davis and Anna Martin Davis Iliff.  In 1950 he married Lillian Shirlene Elwell who preceded him in death on March 22, 2002.  Richard lived in Sweet Springs most of his life where he retired from International Shoe Factory when it closed and retired again from Rival Manufacturing when it closed.  Richard was never one to just sit not doing anything, so after his retirement he worked at Brownsville Station in Sweet Springs as well as mowed lawns for many years.  He was an active member of First Assembly of God Church in Sweet Springs and enjoyed being there any time the door was open.  Richard loved the Lord and shared his faith with everyone he met because he wanted them to know and love the Lord.

He is survived by five children: Sharon Fiene (Jim) of Liberty, Rickie Dempsey of Sweet Springs, David Davis (Rosie) of Sweet Springs, Daniel Davis (Barb) of Florence and Ernest Davis (Jan) of Moberly; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Anna; his stepfather, William Iliff; one daughter, Billis Ann Jones; and two grandchildren.
