Craig L. Bennett, age 72, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on March 23, 2023 after a hard fought battle with cancer

Craig was born on December 26, 1950 to Lowell and Doris Bennett in Kansas City, MO. After graduating from Carrollton High School in 1968 he went on to study at Central Methodist University.

He enjoyed a career in right of way, primarily working with Moser and Associates as well as with ARCO Pipeline Company.

In 1982 he met Peggy and the wed in 1983, blending their two families together to raise their children Wes, Robyn, Carmen, and Clint.

Craig loved attending services, singing in the choir and participating in committees at the Platte City United Methodist for over 30 years.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, at 1:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Platte City United Methodist Church, at 14040 North Highway, Platte City, MO 64079. Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Doris Bennett and granddaughter Cloe Beck. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; his children Wes Carey (Megan), Robyn Leimkuehler (Charles), Carmen Hatch (Tim), and Clint Bennett (Dondi); many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as siblings Mark Bennett (Marilyn) and Elaine Posegate (Geoff).
