The Missouri Small Business Development Center (MOSBDC) at State Fair Community College will host a free Small Business Owners: Navigating Financial Planning, Succession and Emotional Attachment planning workshop from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 18. The purpose of the free workshop is to assist small business owners in creating a well-thought-out retirement plan that addresses financial security, succession plans and peace of mind. Stack Enterprises and MOSBDC are co-sponsoring the workshop.

Participants may enroll in an in-person or Zoom workshop. The in-person session will be held in Fielding Technical Center on the SFCC-Sedalia campus, located at 3201 West 16th Street.

Corey M. Stackhouse, a Missouri registered investment advisor and certified financial planner, will be the presenter. He will discuss financial security, succession planning, tax consequences, business appraisals, and personal challenges in transitioning to retirement.
