The Washington Nationals rallied with four runs in the sixth inning to beat the Kansas City Royals 4-2 at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday, May 27.

The Royals struck first after Nick Pratto scored on a wild pitch in the first inning. Salvador Perez hit his 12th home run of the season to make it 2-0.

After that, the Nationals plated four unanswered runs in the sixth inning. Two of those runs came off of Brady Singer, who went 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and 3 walks. He also struck out 6 batters.

Josh Taylor allowed the other two runs and took the loss. The rest of the Royals bullpen combined for four scoreless innings of work, but the damage was done.

Kansas City dropped its third straight with the loss.
