Betty J. Coslet, 91, of rural Marshall, MO, died Friday, June 2, 2023, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall.  Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church Music Fund or Big Bend Retreat.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born December 23, 1931, in Slater, she was the daughter of the late Amos Ford Johnson and Ara Belle Willis Johnson.  On November 27, 1946, she married Henry H. Coslet Sr. who preceded her in death on September 29, 2021.  Betty and Henry were blessed with over 74 years of marriage.  She lived in Saline County most of her life and in addition to being a wife and mother; she worked for over 15 years in the cafeterias for Marshall Public Schools.  She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Marshall.  Betty loved to quilt, read, and most of all, being a Meme for her grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids.

Survivors include three children: Saundra K. Lasher of Marshall, Henry H. “Bud” Coslet Jr. (Leslie) of Marshall and David D. Coslet (Kim) of Marshall; five grandchildren: Stephanie Green (Jim), Judd Lasher (Kelly), Jeff Coslet (Christy), Joe Coslet (Nicki) and Meghan Brooke McKinney (Ryan); 12 great-grandchildren: Jordan Garbarino (Kyle), Trent Green (Natalie), Jacob Lasher (Morgan), Caleb Lasher (Skylr), Ashley Lasher, Kelsey Winter (Cord), Dallas Coslet, Braylee Coslet, Channing Coslet, Crete Coslet, Harper Brooke McKinney and Deacon James McKinney; two great-great-grandchildren, Hallie Grace Winter and Brooks Lee Winter; one brother, Bobby Dale Johnson (Ellie) of Slater; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband; twin sons, Jimmy and Joey Coslet; three brothers, Gerald, Leo and Chester Johnson; and one sister, Joyce Harris.
