The Odessa Board of Aldermen approved several bills during its meeting on Monday, May 13.

The board started by approving a Memorandum of Understanding with the Odessa School District for four School Resource Officers. City Administrator Shawna Davis said there is one officer stationed at each school in the district, including elementary, upper elementary, middle school, and high school.

The board also approved a resolution to execute the emergency dispatching agreement with the City of Higginsville.

The board also approved two special event permits for events in June and August. One is a street closure for the Puddle Jumper Days from August 1-4. The other request is for the Annual Downtown Wine Walk, which is scheduled for Saturday, June 8 from 3 to 9 p.m.
