The Kansas City Royals completed a sweep of the Chicago White Sox with a 10-3 win on Wednesday, July 31.
The Royals offense got to work early, scoring three runs in the first two frames. Chicago would tie the game at three in the bottom of the second, before Kansas City ran away with the game with a run in the third, two in the fifth, and four more in the ninth.
The offense was powered by home runs from Vinnie Pasquantino and Freddy Fermin, who each drove in three runs.
Brady Singer had a quality start, going seven innings, allowing three runs on six hits. Paul DeJong made his debut with the Royals, picking up a hit in three at-bats.
Kansas City improves to 60-49, currently six games back of Cleveland in the AL Central.
