A second set of lane closures are set to happen along U.S. Route 50 in Johnson County beginning Monday, Apr. 13.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin a project to rehabilitate the eastbound bridge over the Blackwater River, two miles northwest of the intersection with Route 58. The project will also see the nearby bridge over Butcher Creek replaced. During the project, traffic in each direction will be limited to one lane across the westbound bridges. MoDOT expects the bridges to reopen and normal traffic patterns to resume by October. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones.
