Two Stover residents were injured Tuesday, June 30 when their motorcycle went off a Morgan County roadway.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash around 5:20 p.m. on Ivy Bend Road, about 12 miles south of Stover. Troopers report that a 20-year-old man was driving the motorcycle north when he failed to negotiate a curve and crossed the center of the roadway. The bike then went off the left side of the roadway, throwing him and his 20-year-old passenger from the vehicle. He suffered moderate injuries, while his passenger sustained serious injuries. The two were taken to a Lake Ozark hospital for treatment. Troopers noted that neither person was wearing their proper safety gear at the time of the crash.
