A California woman sustained serious injuries when she collided with a truck turning off U.S. Route 50 on Tuesday, July 7 in Moniteau County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that around 8:55 p.m., the truck driven by a 57-year-old Columbia man had slowed down in the westbound lane of U.S. Route 50, preparing to turn left onto Long Branch Road south of Clarksburg. Troopers say that’s when a 52-year-old woman attempted to pass the truck in her vehicle, but collided with the truck when it began to make its turn. The woman was flown to a Columbia hospital. No injuries were reported for the truck’s driver.
