Businesses along a Moberly roadway are under a boil advisory Wednesday, July 8 following a temporary disruption in water service.

The City of Moberly reports that crews are shutting off service to customers along Gillan Road in order to repair a leaking service line. Service will be restored once the repairs are complete. The outage comes as crews also had to tackle a water main break Tuesday night on the 600 block of Homestead Drive.

Businesses on Gillan Road, as well as residents on Homestead Drive, Conestoga Trace, Harvest Lane, Heritage Place, and Overland Lane, will go under a boil advisory until Friday morning. Affected customers will need to bring their water to a boil for three minutes and allow it to cool before consumption. The outage may also affect surrounding areas. Any Moberly customers with questions can call the city’s water office at 660-263-4420.
