Runners from 19 high schools and 15 middle schools will make their way around the Marshall High School campus Thursday, Sept. 10 for the Owls’ annual cross country meet.

The event for varsity, junior varsity and middle school teams will begin at 4 p.m. with the boys varsity meet, followed by girls varsity, junior varsity, boys middle school, and girls middle school. Head coach Amanda Van Winkle says spectators will have plenty of locations to line the race course and cheer their teams along.

This will be Marshall’s second meet of the season, and Van Winkle is anticipating cooler weather for the runners.

Van Winkle says the start and finish line will be in the field between the main parking lot and track at Marshall High School. High school teams will run a 5K, while middle school runners will complete two one-mile loops around campus. Click here to view race results once they are posted following Thursday’s race.
