SEDALIA MAN CHARGED WITH SEX-RELATED FELONIES HAS TWO FUTURE COURT DATES SCHEDULED IN SALINE COUNTY

A Sedalia man charged with two counts of an alleged sex-related felony in Saline County has two court dates scheduled.
According to a release from the Marshall Police Department, on Friday, January 6, it was advised of an emergency Child Abuse/Neglect hotline call in reference to an adult allegedly having inappropriate contact with a 6-year-old.
After an investigation, a warrant was issued, and through cooperation with the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department, the suspect was located and taken into custody on Tuesday, January 10, and then extradited to Saline County.
According to online court documents, 19-year-old Jerome Lee Williams II has been charged with two counts of an Unclassified Felony for Statutory Sodomy or Attempted Statutory Sodomy– Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a person less than 12 years old.
Williams appeared via video for a court date in Saline County Circuit Court on Wednesday, March 1, and the case was continued for later date in the month.
A motion/plea hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, and a preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, in Saline County Circuit Court in Marshall. ...Read more
