A Marshall man who was arrested and charged with a couple of felonies for his alleged involvement in an armed robbery on November 30, 2017, is due in court this week.
According to a release from the Marshall Police Department, a man reported his debit card and laptop were stolen by a man who pulled a gun on him demanded money or he would be shot. An investigation revealed the suspect to be 42-year-old Charles Dean Perkins. Police reportedly recovered the laptop during Perkins’ arrest.
Online court documents say Perkins has been charged with a Class A Felony for Robbery in the First Degree and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. Bond has been at $100,000 cash only, with conditions, including he is not to possess a firearm, nor have no contact with the alleged victim; and has to wear a GPS monitoring device prior to his release from jail.
Perkins’ case has been transferred to Division 4. He is scheduled to appear for an arraignment hearing at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, at Saline County Circuit Court in Marshall.
