Bill Markland, age 96, of Armstrong, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 4, at Armstrong Baptist Church. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Armstrong.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette. Memorials are suggested to the Bill Markland Memorial for Fayette and Glasgow Schools.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Frink, Susan Donnelly, and Mary Jarboe, all of Fayette; one son, John Markland, of Fayette; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
