Mary Marlana Farris, 55, went to be with our Heavenly Father on November 3rd, 2016 at Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville, Mo after complications from a pulmonary embolism.
A visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Home from 1 – 2 PM on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 at Davis Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life.
Mary was born on May 2nd, 1961 in Jackson County, Mo. She was one of eight children. Mary loved all of her family and friends. She especially loved her grandchildren. She always enjoyed helping others as much as she could. Mary always had a shoulder to cry on, an ear for listening and a hug if you needed it. Mary loved to spend time with her family, laughing and always wearing a smile or a cheesy grin on her face. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Mary loved to cook, and if you were lucky you got to have her fried chicken or her Christmas candies that would last you until Easter. Mary will be missed by many.
Mary is survived by her only child, a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Adam (Teter) Hutchison of Boonville; Four grandchildren, Joshua Jay; Ellis Dean; Dennis Wayne; Odette Margeret Louise; Four brothers, James of Hermitage; Robert (Margie) of Independence; Patrick (Kerry) of Independence; and Stephen (Ellie) of North Port, FL, One sister, Jeanne Elliott of Boonville, and one extended sister Kendra Keith of Renton, WA. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dearly beloved friends.
Mary was preceded in death by twin brothers Brent and Bradley in April 1956.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Davis Funeral Chapel to help offset funeral expenses.
