A warrant has been issued, and a Morgan County resident has been charged with a couple of felonies relating to an incident last year in Cooper County.
A probable-cause statement says a vehicle, being driven by Cynthia Gibler-Obrien, of Gravois Mills, reportedly was stopped for a violation on June 4. The county’s narcotics-sniffing K-9 reportedly revealed to officers that illegal substances were in the vehicle. During a search, authorities allegedly found a baggie inside Gibler-Orien’s purse that contained over 100 grams of what field tested to be methamphetamine, as well as glass pipes and another baggie with a small amount of methamphetamine.
Online court documents say Gibler-Obrien has been charged with a Class B Felony for Trafficking Drugs in the Second Degree; a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid; and two misdemeanors. Bond has been set at $50,000 cash or surety.
Gibler-Obrien’s initial hearing at Cooper County Circuit Court in Boonville is pending.
