A 47-year-old Odessa man has been charged with a felony for allegedly threatening to kill people and some animals with weapons on January 2 in Lafayette County.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities were called to a residence in the 300 block of South Dyer to investigate the report of a disturbance in progress with weapons. The residents reported to authorities that Lonnie Martin had threatened to kill them and some dogs.
According to online court documents, Martin has been arrested and charged with a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon- Exhibiting and a misdemeanor for domestic assault. Bond has been increased by the court from $20,000 to $25,000, with several conditions.
Martin appeared in custody and reportedly entered a plea of not guilty during his arraignment hearing on Wednesday, January 3. His cause has been continued for another hearing at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, at Lafayette County Circuit Court in Lexington.
