A Moberly man has been charged with felonies for an alleged incident of domestic violence this week in Chariton County.
A probable-cause statement says just before 7 a.m. on January 4, Salisbury Police officers arrested 27-year-old Justin Bode for an alleged domestic assault that occurred at a residence in the 700 block of South Weber.
During the investigation, the victim stated that Bode allegedly hit her in the face with a television, threw her onto a table, grabbed her by the throat and held a gun to her head. Officers noticed the victim had redness on the left side of her neck and bruising around her left eye. Reportedly, the firearm was discovered to be a BB gun, but had the appearance of being a lethal weapon.
Online court documents say Bode has been charged with two Class E Felonies for Third-Degree Domestic Assault and Unlawful Use of a Weapon-Exhibiting.
Bode’s initial hearing at Chariton County Circuit Court in Keytesville is pending.
