A Miami resident suffered injuries in a rollover traffic crash in Saline County on Sunday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a northbound vehicle, driven by 30-year-old Lauren Schmidt, reportedly began to slide on an ice-covered roadway, traveled off the left side of the roadway, overturned down an embankment and came to rest on its wheels.
Schmidt reportedly was transported by Saline County E.M.S. to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment. A 4-year-old child in the vehicle reportedly was not injured, but also was transported by E.M.S. to the hospital, as well.
The crash happened just before 7:30 p.m. on Missouri Highway 41, one-tenth of a mile north of Route C.
