At the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, January 9, commissioners were asked to approve a resolution regarding a directive from President Donald Trump and Homeland Security.
Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. outlined the details of the resolution submitted by Saline County Emergency Management Agency Director Tony Day to adopt the National Incident Management System (NIMS).

Guthrey continued, saying it is to prevent, prepare for, respond to or recover from domestic incidents, regardless of the cause, size or complexity…

The commissioners adopted the resolution.
In other news, Clerk Debbie Russell reminded area residents that candidate filing for the Municipal Election is continuing during regular business hours through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16.
