The Missouri Lottery announced several prizes have not been claimed the past few months, and includes a winning ticket sold last year in Lafayette County.
According to a news release, on August 19, 2017, a winning Powerball ticket was sold at Pilot Travel Center in Higginsville, where the prize of $50,000 remains unclaimed. Winners have exactly 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their reward.
The deadline to claim the Higginsville prize is by February 15, 2018, and if the prize money is not claimed, it will be transferred to the Lottery Proceeds Fund to benefit public education.
Winning tickets can be redeemed at any of the Lottery’s offices, which are located in Jefferson City, St. Louis, Kansas City and Springfield.
Lottery participants are encouraged to check their tickets on the Lottery’s mobile app or use the website, www.MOLottery.com.
