As result of the execution of a narcotics search warrant last week, a Marshall woman has been charged with a drug-related felony in Saline County.
According to a release from the Marshall Police Department, officers assisted the Lafayette County Drug Task Force with the execution of the warrant at a residence in the 500 block of South Brunswick Avenue on Friday, January 5.
The resident, Janessa Schneider, reportedly “made a spontaneous utterance that she had something on her she shouldn’t” after law-enforcement advised her she was not allowed to use the bathroom. Schneider reportedly was released to the custody of the Task Force members. The report does not say what Schneider allegedly had on her person.
Online court documents say Schneider has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid and two drug-related misdemeanors. Bond has been fixed at $10,000 cash only.
Schneider reportedly appeared in custody for her arraignment hearing on Monday, January 8, and informed the court that she is going to seek counsel of the public defender. No other information is available at this time.
