A Lincoln resident was killed in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Benton County on Thursday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 56-year-old Mary Harms, of Lincoln, reportedly lost control of the northbound vehicle she was driving on an ice-covered roadway. Her vehicle reportedly crossed the center line of the roadway and struck a southbound vehicle, driven by 22-year-old Caleb Reno, of Warsaw.
Harms reportedly was transported by Cole Camp E.M.S. to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia, where she was pronounced deceased at 5:25 p.m. by a doctor in the emergency room. Reno reportedly was not injured.
The crash happened at about 4 p.m. on U.S. Highway 65, north of Frisch Road.
