A Kansas City resident suffered injuries in a traffic crash in Cooper County on Sunday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by 34-year-old Erik Martinez, of Kansas City, reportedly skidded on the snow-covered roadway, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
While Martinez reportedly was not injured, a passenger in the vehicle, 52-year-old Jose Sarmiento Morillo, reportedly was transported by ambulance to Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash happened at about 10 a.m. at the 95 mile marker on I-70.
