Saline County Coroner Willie Harlow requested the county commission approve payments to the University of Missouri for autopsies for the next year.
During a recent meeting of the commission, Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. read the details of the proposed agreement.

Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner pointed out the county averages having 10 to 12 autopsies a year.
Commissioners agreed to sign the agreement.
In other news, Clerk Debbie Russell reported that the county still is receiving bids for health insurance for its employees from potential vendors. The bids will be opened during regular session on February 6.
